Dr. Todd Disotell, Molecular Primatologist

Dr. Todd Disotell is a professor of anthropology and a molecular primatologist at New York University’s Center for the Study of Human Origins. A version of this portrait appeared in yesterday’s Houston Chronicle. Dr. Disotell was in San Francisco last month, giving a lecture at the California Academy of Sciences, and I had the pleasure of spending a few days with him as part of my duties at my day job. Dr. Disotell’s research uses cutting edge DNA techniques to bring together the disciplines of paleoanthropology and primatology. Check him out on The Daily Show to see what I mean.
